Harold Nicholson

Gastonia, NC Harold Nicholson, 74, passed away November 7, 2012 at his home. He was born May 30, 1938 in Sylva, NC, son of the late Spurgeon Eugene Nicholson and Maddie Conner Hooper. Harold was a US Army Veteran. He was employed with The Generator Shop, Gastonia for over 46 years. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Leon Humphrey. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. He is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Betty Nicholson of the home; daughters, Vickey Capps, Judy Brooks, Pamela Keese; son, Harold E. Nicholson; brothers, Alvin Nicholson, Tommy Wheeler; sisters, Cathraine Estes, Linda Cook, Lisa Wilson; 6 grandchildren In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Peavy.
