Gastonia, NC- Harold J. Moore, 80, of Gastonia, passed away, January 8, 2014, at his residence. He was born, August 20, 1933 in Cherokee, NC. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel, officiated by Rev. Chester Waters. Visitation will be held 10 - 11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. He is survived by: his wife, Lela Kinley; sons Gary Carpenter of Kings Mountain, Larry Carpenter of Winterville; daughter, Sandra Honeycutt of Murrells Inlet, SC; brother, Don Moore of Sacramento CA; sister, Carolyn Moore of Gastonia, NC; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
