He was born September 21, 1956 son of the late Woodrow Rankin Lay and Gertrude Caldwell Lay.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
