Harold Keith Ray Sr., 80, of Kings Mountain,passed away on June 8, 2018 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.
He was born November 25, 1937, in Hartwell Georgia, son of the late Hoke William Ray and Mary Fowler Ray.
Mr. Ray retired after 27 years as an instrumentation technician with Duke Energy.
He was known as "Moon Rocket" to the CB community.
A celebration of Mr. Ray's life will be held 1-3pm Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Eastside Baptist Church, 308 York Rd. Kings Mountain.
Mr. Ray is survived by son, Keith Ray Jr.; daughters, Donna Somero, Starr Dowell and husband, Neil, Mary Mercer; brothers, Jerry Ray, Marshall Ray; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Linda Chapman Ray; four siblings.
