Harold C. Brown

Gastonia, NC Harold C. Brown, 76, passed away September 10, 2013, at The Robin Johnson House, Dallas. He was born April 28, 1937 in Fayetteville, NC, son of the late Harold C. Brown Sr. and Clara S. Brown. He retired from Wachovia Bank. Harold loved to fish at the beach and enjoyed shagging at Ocean Drive. The family sends a special thank you to Dr. Zimmern, Dr. Wysong and Dr. Meakin. He is survived by: his wife of 46 years, Joyce C. Brown; his beloved dog, Jessie; sister, Ann Nelson and husband, Dennis of Raleigh; niece, Melissa Nelson of Raleigh; nephew, John Nelson and wife, Jessica and their children, Emma and Liam of Cary. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: brother, Franklin Brown. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at Sunset Beach, NC. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of Gaston County, 306 Columbia St., Gastonia or the Heart Society of Gaston County, 190 S. Oakland St., Gastonia, NC 28054.
