Hali Brook Entas

Hali Brook Entas passed away on September 23, 2026, at 4:00 a.m., surrounded by those who loved her.

She is survived by her grandmother and adopted mother, Rachel "Granny" Watkins, who deeply loved and raised Hali; her Aunt Traci Williamson and her mother Lisa Moore, who were by Hali's side, caring for and supporting her throughout her final days; her best friend, Joey Blickley, who was also a tremendous source of support and help during that time; her brothers, Dustin Moore and Dalton Moore; cousins Lindsey Dube' and Eva Dube'; uncle Joseph Dube'; Michelle Stancil; Karen Dube'; Billy Shaver, aka"Mama Billy"; and Cathy Wright, along with many other loved ones.

Hali was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer and was given only two years to live. She fought for seven years, showing a strength and determination that made her one of the toughest people those who loved her had ever known.

Hali found her home in the mountains of Asheville, NC, where she attended UNC Asheville and earned her Bachelor of Arts in 2013. She loved photography, plants, nature, and animals. Her beloved cat Astrid was more than a pet; she was Hali's baby.

Hali was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather and adopted father, Donald "Pa" Watkins, and her aunt, Marissa Semel Dube'. We find comfort in knowing they were waiting to welcome her home, and that she is now at peace with them once again. She was also preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Entas, and her biological father, Nicholas "Nick" Entas.

Hali leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and beauty. She will forever be remembered in the mountains she loved, the animals she cherished, the photographs she captured, and the hearts of everyone who knew her.
