H. Leroy Dubre

H. Leroy DuBre 1946 - 2014 H. Leroy DuBre, 67 of Grover, passed away on June 19, 2014 at his home in Grover, NC. He was born November 1, 1946 in Evansville, IN to the late John and Eutha Hall DuBre. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Virginia Lee Athey DuBre of the home; two daughters, Karen Hill and husband, Martin Hill, and April Littlejohn and husband, Dwayne Littlejohn; one son, Leroy Jonathan DuBre and wife, Michelle DuBre; one brother, Terry DuBre; two sisters, Kathy Jones and Renee Wilson; and seven grandchildren. He was a member of Love Valley Baptist Church where he served faithfully for many years. He served admirably in the U.S Army's 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam conflict earning the Bronze Medal. He spent many years volunteering in the Boy Scouts of America serving in numerous leadership positions and sitting on various boards. He loved farming, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at Love Valley Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. The family will receive friends 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the church on Sunday. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium Gastonia, 704-867-5521.
