Guynell Southard Rayfield

Guynell Southard Rayfield, 72, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday at Carolinas Medical Center- University, Charlotte. She was born May 3, 1940, in Gaston County, daughter of Hattie Woodard Southard and the late Guy Samuel Southard. A graveside service will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, offlicated by Minister Samantha McKinney. The family will recieve friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052, . She is survived by: her son, Jerry Steve Rayfield Jr. and friend Lisa Thomas; her mother; brother, Jack Southard and wife Joyce; sisters, Verna Shaw and husband John, Joyce Gardner and husband Joe; grandchild, Samuel Rayfield; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by: her brothers, Jerry Southard, David Southard. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
