Guy Mitchell Hendricks

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guy Mitchell Hendricks, who left this world on June 5, 2025. Born on August 9, 1941, in North Carolina, Guy grew up to be a devoted son, a loving friend, and a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War.

Guy made his home in Gastonia, NC, where he worked as a Warranty Administrator in the heavy construction industry. His down-to-earth nature and warm smile touched everyone he met, and he was known for his genuine love for dogs and all animals. If there was a four-legged friend around, you could count on Guy to be there with a treat or a pat on the head.

Guy leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Diane Franks (Lewis); a special friend Thomas Barber; several nieces and nephews and his family from the Dunlap Orphanage in TN.

There will be a private celebration of Guy's life to honor his memory.

Guy will always be remembered for his kindness, his service to his country, and his unwavering love for animals. We will keep his memory alive in our hearts and cherish the moments we shared.

Rest in peace, Guy. You will be missed.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Hendricks and Fleeta McNichols; siblings, Ralph Vernon, Nick Hendricks and Linda Kay Dodgen.
