Grover Lester Denton, 85, passed away November 15, 2018 at his residence.
He was born November 25, 1932 in Lincoln County, NC the son of the late Robert Lester Denton and Cora Adaline Gibson.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of over 39 years, Mary Lou Denton; sons, Daniel Denton and wife Angel, Grover Lester Denton Jr. and Tommy Willett and wife Ann; daughters, Mary Grace Dove and husband Mark and Lou Ann Vandiver; sisters, Ruby Ross and Margaret Preist; grandchildren Kaitlyn Denton, Hannah Gibson, Michael Gibson, Jessie Gibson, April Dove, Shane Dove and Ryan Forman.
A funeral service will be held 3 pm Monday, November 19, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Justin Demers.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Armstrong Cemetery.
