Gregoria Rojas Mendez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departure with her heavenly father of Gregoria Rojas Mendez, who left us on July 27, 2025, at the age of 59. Born in the Dominican Republic on May 29, 1966, Gregoria a faithful servant since the age of 16 spread the Lord's wisdom and love to everyone she met.

A Kean University graduate, a cherished wife to Marco Rojas and an amazing mother to her kids, Yosaida Adams, Yodsabel Espinal, Salomon Sierra, Moises Sierra, and Juan Rojas; grandchildren, Lynabel Mercado, Noah Mercado, Spencer Sierra, Miles Sierra, Adrienne Adams, Adriana Adams, Arianna Adams, and Emmanuel Snell; mother, Isabel Piña; sisters, Candy Flores and Damaris Valoy; brother, Luis Mendez.

Gregoria was preceded in death by her fathers, Octavio Mendez and Miguel Piña.

She loved listening and reading the bible, reflecting on God's creation while hiking, and sharing her adventures with family and friends. Gregoria will be remembered not just for her accomplishments but for the warmth and joy she brought into her home and community. As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, her spirit touched many lives. She was very proud of her family, her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted member of her church, and a friend who always made time for all.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gregoria's life at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on August 1, 2025, for a visitation starting at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on August 2, 2025, at 10:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Gaston Memorial Park at 2:30 pm where she will be laid to rest.

In honor of Gregoria's memory, her family welcomes those who knew her to come and wear a colorful and vibrant outfit to celebrate that Gods promises are forever.

Con corazones llenos de tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Gregoria Rojas Mendez, quien partió con su Padre Celestial el 27 de julio de 2025, a la edad de 59 años. Nacida en la República Dominicana el 29 de mayo de 1966, Gregoria fue una fiel sierva desde los 16 años, compartiendo la sabiduría y el amor del Señor con todos los que conoció.

Graduada de la Universidad de Kean, fue una esposa amada por Marco Rojas y una madre extraordinaria para sus hijos: Yosaida Adams, Yodsabel Espinal, Salomón Sierra, Moisés Sierra y Juan Rojas; sus nietos: Lynabel Mercado, Noah Mercado, Spencer Sierra, Miles Sierra, Adrienne Adams, Adriana Adams, Arianna Adams y Emmanuel Snell; su madre, Isabel Piña; sus hermanas, Candy Flores y Damaris Valoy; y su hermano, Luis Mendez.

Gregoria fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres, Octavio Mendez y Miguel Piña.

Le encantaba escuchar y leer la Biblia, reflexionar sobre la creación de Dios mientras caminaba por la naturaleza y compartir sus aventuras con la familia y amigos. Gregoria será recordada no solo por sus logros, sino por la calidez y alegría que trajo a su hogar y a su comunidad. Como esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y amiga, su espíritu tocó muchas vidas. Estaba muy orgullosa de su familia, sus hijos y nietos. Fue una miembro devota de su iglesia y una amiga que siempre encontraba tiempo para todos.

La familia y los amigos están invitados a celebrar la vida de Gregoria en el Greene Funeral Service South Chapel el 1 de agosto de 2025, a partir de las 6:00 pm. El servicio funerario se celebrará el 2 de agosto de 2025 a las 10:00 am, seguido de un servicio en el cementerio Gaston Memorial Park a las 2:30 pm, donde será sepultada.

En honor a la memoria de Gregoria, su familia invita a todos los que la conocieron a asistir vistiendo ropa colorida y vibrante para celebrar que las promesas de Dios son eternas.
