Grace C. Holcomb

Grace C. Holcomb, age 95, passed away October 19, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born July 13, 1917 in York County, SC, daughter of the late Max and Cordelia Small Collins. Grace was a member of New Vision Baptist Fellowship Church, Granite Falls. A funeral service will be held 3 pm on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Jerry Millwood. The family will receive friends 2-3 pm on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. The interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. She is survived by: her son and daughter in-law, Richard and Ginger Sipe; daughters and son in-law, Barbara Cooper, Freida and Lawrence Bates, Pam Houston; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Bud Holcomb; daughter, Elaine Sipe; sons, Jimmy Sipe and Jerry Weaver; son in-law, Bill Cooper; grandson, Roger Bates; sister, Lucille Collins.
