Glibert Richard Fore

Gilbert Richard Fore, 82, of Belmont, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017, at his home.

He was born September 29, 1935, in Gaston County, son of the late James Oscar Fore and Margaret Morgan Fore.

Gilbert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran and was a member of Bethlehem Church of Gastonia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by some of his siblings.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce Stiles Fore; children, Jeanne Land and husband, Gary, Wayne Buchanan, and Brenda Hogan; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and best friend and great grandson, Coty Land.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo, will be held 11:00 am on Monday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
