Glenna Buchanan Dellinger

Glenna Buchanan Dellinger, 80, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 1, 1943, in Yancey Co, NC, daughter of the late Sam and Bertie Robinson Buchanan.

Glenna loved to read, to garden, and to shop.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Patricia Dellinger; brothers, Claude, Edison, Leland, Marvin, Emory, and Ray Buchanan; and sisters, Elise Cassidy, June Laws, and Annie Dover.

Glenna is survived by her son, Rick Dellinger (Darla); daughters, Diane Gibson (Jimmy), Casey Wood, and Destiny Tate (Montae); brothers, Jack Buchanan (Doris), and Vernon Buchanan (Angie); grandchildren, Tara Yuill (Kent), Travis Dellinger (Jessica); Donovan Womack (Courtney), Patrick Dellinger (Destiny), Daven Dellinger, Christopher Harvey, Emily Walsh, and Abbey Walsh (Ben); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Yuill, Austin Yuill, Emily Austin, Addison Austin, Caleb Dellinger, Paisley Dellinger, Charlotte Womack, Catherynn Womack, Harvey Dellinger, Rosie Biggerstaff, Novalee Dellinger, Chloe Harvey, and Evan Harvey; unborn great-grandchild, Baby Girl Dellinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A graveside service officiated by Pastor Jimmy Buchanan, will be held 1pm, Monday, November 13, 2023, at Cane Creek Cemetery – Bakersville, NC.
