Glenn Gentry Hall Jr.

Gastonia, NC Glenn "Gentry" Hall Jr., age 74, passed away February 27, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. He was born August 29, 1938 in Gaston County, son of the late Glenn Gentry Hall Sr. and Dorothy Phillips Hall. Mr. Hall was a former Mayor of Spencer Mountain, NC and served as a deacon at Spencer Mountain Baptist Church, Gastonia. He was retired from Pharr Yarns in McAdenville, after over 40 years of service. The Hall family would like to thank Dr. Nasi Samiy for his care of Mr. Hall. A funeral service will be held 1 pm on Saturday at Spencer Mountain Baptist Church, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Jerry Rumfelt. The family will receive friends 11:30 am - 1 pm on Saturday prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. He is survived by: his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis Hall of the home; daughters, Rosalind Rhyne and her spouse, Bo, Samantha Hall; brother, William Hall and his spouse, Sherry; sister, Cathy Null; grandchildren, Logan Rhyne, Brandon, Bryce, Bryant and Drew; family friend, Heather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by: grandson, Blake Walters; sister, Shirley Arrowood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, 1613 E. Morehead St., Charlotte, NC 28207.
