Glenda Workman

Glenda Workman, 71, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

She was born July 12, 1951, a native of Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late Evie Pearson.

Glenda was a member of Ranlo Baptist Church. She was mom or mawmaw Glenda to everyone that knew her. She was the ultimate giver and was beloved. Glenda worked and loved hard. She lived her life ALL GAS – NO BRAKES.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy and Bruce Drennan.

Glenda is survived by her son, Brent Hunter, Jr. (Melissa); daughters, Jackie Layel (Travis), and Summer Payne; brother, Tony Pearson; and grandchildren, Brianna Hunter, Dana Freeman, McKenzie Hunter, T.J. Layel, Cody Meares, Joshua Revels, Makayala Bennett, and Gavin Layel.

A celebration of life service officiated by Pastor James Land, will be held 6pm on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Ranlo Baptist Church - 1517 Spencer Mountain Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
