Glenda Jolly Walker, 77, of Gastonia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
She was born on September 13, 1943, in Gaston County, to the late H.T. and Edna Smith Bridges.
Glenda was a daycare teacher for many years. She loved singing in the choir at her church. Glenda's favorite saying was "It's going to be alright".
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Jolly; second husband, Charles Walker; and sister, Becky Williamson.
Left to cherish Glenda's memories are her sons, David Jolly and wife, Brenda, and Tony Jolly; brother, Paul Bridges; sister, Kat Heilig and husband, Ted; grandchildren, Brandon Jolly and wife, Ashley, Heather Jolly, Amanda Denkler and husband, John, and Daniel Jolly and fiancé Kristin Nester; great-grandchildren, Caramia Boykin, Matti Sams, Harper Jolly and Waverly.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pendleton, and Pastor Bobby Gilley, will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28052.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Internment to follow the funeral service at Gaston Memorial Park.
