Glenda Jeanette Lyles

Glenda Jeanette Lyles, 79, of Gastonia, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 on her 65th wedding anniversary at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas.

She was born September 14, 1936 in Gaston Co, daughter of the late James Leslie Peters and Nina Pauline Parker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson Brian Lyles.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 65 years James Curtis Lyles; son, Terry Lyles of Alcolu, SC; daughters, Diane Bates, Faye Pilkington, Sherry Nix, Lisa Pope, all of Gastonia; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Elvis Anderson, will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, August 21, at Greene Funeral Service 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
