Gladys Jones Threlkeld

Gladys Jones Threlkeld, 96, of Gastonia, passed away March 8, 2015, at Woodlawn Haven of Mt. Holly. She was born March 25, 1918, in Gaston County, daughter of the late George Franklin Jones and Ethel Martin Jones. Gladys was a member of Trinity United Methodist. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Guy Threlkeld, Sr.; beloved daughter, Rita T. Rudisill; brothers, Wade Jones, Mack Jones, Glen Jones, J.C. Jones, Belton Jones; and sister, Bobbie Jones Griffin. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Guy Threlkeld, Jr. (Ree) of Gastonia, son in law, Jeff Rudisill, Sr. of Daleville, VA; grandchildren, Susie T. Hilton (Jake) of Mt. Holly, Jeff R. Rudisill, Jr. (Michelle) of Forest, VA, Susan R. Mitchell (Russ) Wynnewood, PA, Julie R. Lillard (Rick) of Fairview, TX; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11am on Tuesday at Hollywood Cemetery, Broad St., Gastonia. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
