Gil Scheringer

Gil Scheringer, 80, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Levine Dickson Hospice, Huntersville, NC.  He was born October 31, 1941, in Mount Vernon, NY, and was the son of the late Gilbert Scheringer Sr. and Neta Davey Scheringer.

Gil retired from the U.S. Navy after twenty years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rod Scheringer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nell Welch Scheringer; sons, Russ Scheringer (Debbie) and Scot Scheringer; brother, Ken Scheringer; sister, Sue Shull; grandchildren, Russell Scheringer, Celeste Scheringer and Samantha Scheringer; nieces, Amy Rosendhal, Christy Shull and Anna Scheringer; nephew, Adam Scheringer.
