Georgia Floyd Shipman

Georgia Floyd Shipman, 82, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC.

She was born September 23, 1939, a native of Gaston Co., to the late Curtis Floyd and Mable Green.

Georgia loved reading, crossword puzzles, and playing games.

In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Shipman; daughter, Angela Lynn Shipman; brother, Frank Floyd; sisters, Helen Harris, Velma Floyd, Vivian Barker, Charlene Hoefle Geraldine Alexander, Kathy Foster, and Tensy Willard.

Georgia is survived by her daughters, Michelle Ostrop (Tim) and Lisa Hardee; sister, Sue Powell; grandchildren, Faith Ryan, Hope Hardee, Nick Shipman, and Austin Smith; 10 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia, NC.
