Georgia Ruth Mills Greene

Georgia Ruth Mills Greene, 75, of Kings Mountain, passed away on April 27, 2021, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

She was born July 5, 1945, in Haywood County, daughter of the late Elbert Mills and Bertie Webb Mills.

The family would like to thank the staff at Carolina Care, Cherryville and special niece, Tiffany Willis for the care that was provided to Georgia.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 1, 2021,  at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by  the Rev. James Hamrick.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday, April 30, 2021, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Georgia is survived by her three sons, Donny Greene, Richard Greene and wife Lisa, and Tony Greene and wife, Betty;  brother, Bill Mills; seven grandchildren, Terri McCullough and husband Sinjin, Joseph Greene and wife Jessica, Steven Greene and companion Joanie, Chasity Greene, Kenneth Greason and wife Tamera, Tonya Greene, and Jeremy Lewis and companion Faith; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Johnny Greene; son, Patrick Greene; brothers, Floyd Lee Mills, Carroll David Mills; sisters, Wanda Mills, Guy, Mary Sue Sessoms.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
