Georgia "Pauline" Collins

Georgia "Pauline" Collins, 86, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Thursday, February 22, 2024.

Pauline was born June 23, 1937, in Gastonia, NC to the late Fletcher Johnson Crane and Ila Penner Crane.

Pauline was known as a great caregiver from her children to her patients she cared for as a CNA. She was a member of South Gastonia Church of God. She attended L.E.C. of Shelby under the care of her niece Karen Bridges. She loved sewing, painting and crafting. She was famous for her cornbread, biscuits and sweet tea. She was well loved by all who met her. She had a full life loving and enjoying her family but most of all her faith and love for her savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Ruben Collins; her son, Tommy Raymond Collins; sisters, Jackie Ferguson, and Margaret Ransom; brothers, Bobby, Palmer, Claude, and Otis Crane; and grandson, Floyd Collins, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Kay Mertz (Richard), Judy Robertson (Rev. Kim), Lori Mahaffey, Melinda McCrary (Kenneth), Fletcher Collins, Brenda Garcia (Joe) and Floyd Collins; sisters, Johnsie Cloninger, and Patsy Long (Charles); brother, Charles Michael Crane (Sandra); 24 grandchildren; and 88 great and great great grandchildren. She was blessed with 5 generations.

Family will receive friends 1:30-3:00pm, Sunday, February 25, 2024, at South Gastonia Church of God - 310 Carolina Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Bobby Gilley, Rev. Kim Robertson, and Rev. Bert Scott, will be held 3:30pm, at the church.

Burial will be held 1:30pm, Monday, February 26, 2024, at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory - 994 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
