George "Tom" Crouse

George "Tom" Crouse, 76, of Clover, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Chandler Place in Rock Hill, SC.

He was born February 9, 1947, to the late Homer Kenneth and Alice Nell Crouse.

Tom served in the US Air Force. He was a corporate pilot for 20 years. He also was an airplane pilot instructor. He owned and operated Grenade Factory Motorcycle & Machine Shop. He loved to prospect for gold. He was an avid golfer. He was known to pitch many no-hitters when playing baseball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Steven "Mousie" Crouse.

Tom is survived by his wife, Wanda Kaye Crouse; sons, Walter Dean Fore, II and fiancé Heather Addison, Christopher Thomas Crouse; sister, Debra Crouse Payseur; grandchildren, Lucas Knox Fore, Winston Garrick Lewis, Madeline Faye Lewis.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Richard Sigmon will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 – 3:00PM at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
