George Clifford "Cliff" Whisnant

Cliff Whisnant, 89, of Iron Station, NC, went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 26, 2025.

He loved the Lord and his church family. He was a member of Pearl Baptist Church in Iron Station. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and riding his motorcycle. He had a green thumb and could do almost anything with his hands. He liked helping others with outside projects.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dot and six daughters, Cindy Bruton, Janet Kiser and husband Steve, Anita Reames and husband Bill, Suzanne Seercy and husband Mike, Wanda Howell and husband Ricky, Charity Cooper and husband Jason: 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Cliff was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Meyers, and grandson Clifford McLemore.

Cliff was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, 3:00 PM at Pearl Baptist Church, 4657 E. Highway 27, Iron Station, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
