George "Randy" Campbell

George "Randy" Campbell, 71, of Dallas, NC, passed away at his home on October 11, 2020.

He was born in Dillon County, SC on January 23, 1949 to the late Edd Martin Campbell and Betty Jean Jackson Campbell.

Randy was a member of Crossview Baptist Church, Gastonia.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.  He loved camping at the beach.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Campbell.

Survivors of Randy include his wife of almost 20 years, Kay Plemmons Campbell; sons, Michael Farris (Jessica) and Steve Campbell (Allison); a brother, Dennis Campbell; a sister, Carolyn Stanford (Stan); and grandchildren, Trey Mitchell (Taylor), Henry Campbell, Jack Campbell, Carter Farris, Madison Farris, Summer Lowrance, and Abigail Lowrance.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Quinton Thompson will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the funeral at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia, NC.
