George Charles Blasavage

George Charles Blasavage, 77, of Gastonia, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, August 25th,

2022, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born May 7th, 1945, in Waterbury, Connecticut, son of the late John Joseph and Margaret

(Yescavage) Blasavage.

In his youth, he enjoyed basketball, fishing, golfing, and bowling. Later in life, he loved

spending time with his friends at the local VFW and Winner's Circle Bar. He was also a US Air

Force Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Rose Blasavage, brothers,

John Blasavage, Paul Blasavage; sisters, Irene Kailukaitis, Eleanor Dominick.

He is survived by his daughter, Christina Finn (Mike) of Plant City, Florida, brothers, Eugene

Blasavage (Pamela), Edward Blasavage (Ursula); sister, Margaret Dominick; numerous nieces

and nephews. Those also left to cherish his memory include two stepdaughters from his first marriage, a

stepdaughter and a stepson from his second marriage, numerous step-grandchildren, and stepgreat-grandchildren.

One stepdaughter and step-grandson preceded in death.

Details for a memorial service will be shared at a later date.
