Genevieve Leverton Snipes

Dallas, NC Genevieve Leverton Snipes, 82, passed away July 30, 2013, at Caromont Regional Med. Ctr., Gastonia. She was born Octoer 19, 1930 in South Haven, Michigan, daughter of the late Elmer and Lula Bailey Leverton. Mrs. Snipes was a member of High Shoals Church of God. A funeral service will be held 11 am on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Billy Dunnigan. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. She is survived by: sons and daughters in-law, Raymond and Sherry Snipes, Sam and Rhonda Snipes; daughters and sons in-law, Penny and R.C. Bentley, Sue and David Hedgepath, Mary Snipes; daughter in-law, Dalene Snipes; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Floyd Snipes; son, Tommy Snipes. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Fuenral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
