Genevieve (Jenny) Etheridge Davis Koon

Genevieve (Jenny) Etheridge Davis Koon, 93, passed away on August 14, 2026. She was born on June 7, 1933, in Ridgeland, SC to the late Percy and Stella Mae Etheridge.

Genevieve was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She never met a stranger, and her love of her Savior was something that she was always eager to share with anyone she met. She loved her family with her whole heart and was always available to help anyone who needed it whether she knew them or not. Genevieve was certainly a shining example of service to God that will leave a lasting impression on anyone who knew her and a solid impact on her community.

She is survived by her son, Brian Davis (Leslie), her daughter, Donna Stewart (Tim), two sisters, Sally Bagby and Gloria Singletary (Tim), two brothers, Henry Etheridge (Ellen) and Pastor Bobby Etheridge (JoAnn), five grandchildren, Jason Stewart (Stacey), Keishia Davis (Shahab), Zac Davis, Hannah Cunningham (John), Davey Church, six great-grandchildren, Easton, Shyia, Caleb, Lola, Emmett, and Davey.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Stella Mae Etheridge, her husband, Henry Eugene Davis and Henry Ellis Koon, two sisters, Beatrice and Margie, and a brother, Wesley.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Genevieve's brothers, Henry and Bobby Etheridge, for all of their selfless help and devotion throughout her life.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Gillisonville Baptist Church, 10168 Grays Hwy, Ridgeland, SC 29936, with a burial to follow in the church cemetery.
