Gene Gordon Eaker

Gene Gordon Eaker, 69, of Gastonia, passed away April 15, 2018 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

He was born March 8, 1949, a native of Gastonia, the son of the late Herman Alfred Eaker and Allie Mozelle Jenkins.

Survivors include sons, Jamie Gordon Eaker and Jeffrey Alfred Eaker and wife Sonia; daughters, Kimberly Eaker Rathbone and husband Ervin and Angela Marie Gault and husband Wilburn; brothers, Herman Eaker Jr. and wife Gail and Jerry Eaker; sister, Janet Harrelson; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lang Stansberry and step-son Steven Jennings Braswell.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Daniel Barrick will be held 7 pm Friday, April 20, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
