Gastonia, NC Gayle Houston White, age 72 of Gastonia, passed away March 21, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. She was born January 28, 1941 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Jesse M. and Dorothy Galloway Houston. Gayle was a member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, Gastonia. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Tuesday at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Daniel Leon "Dan" White and Rev. Sandy Bozeman. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. She is survived by: her husband, Rev. Daniel Leon "Dan" White; sons and daughters in-law, Ricky and Brenda Norman, Larry and Teresa Norman, Eric and Jennifer Norman; daughter and son in-law, Lynn and Frank Atkins; step-sons, Chris and Stephen White; sister, Avanelle Shaver; step-daughter, Stephanie Holaday; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her brothers, Leon and Ronnie Houston; sister, Jo Ann Hope.
