Gary Woods

Gastonia - Gary Woods, 73, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. A Gaston County native, he was born July 17, 1940, son of the late Clyde and Vergie Moss Woods. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Nevada Woods, and sister, Linda Ray Floyd. He is survived by his son, Donald Woods and wife Penny of Gastonia; grandson, Lawson Neil Woods of Gastonia; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Pastor Richard Cole. Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
