Gary W. Rollins

Gary W. Rollins, 76, of Dallas, passed away February 9, 2016 at his residence.

He was born July 22, 1939 in Union County, SC, the son of the late John William Rollins and Agnes Ruth Tinker Rollins.

Gary was a member of Crowder's View Free Will Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.  He was a retired US Army veteran.  Gary was also a member of the Gaston Saddle Club.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Arn and staff at Caromont Heart and would like to thank everyone for all their prayers and support.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Alline Rollins; daughters, Cindy Guthrie, Tracy Teague, siblings, Gaynelle Simmons, Johnny Rollins, Jeanie Jones, Randy Rollins; grandchildren, Avery Teague, Maggie Stines, Nora and Audrey Guthrie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Faye Withers, Margie Schronce, Sheila Thomas and Belton Rollins.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Keith Carson.

The family will receive friends 1 – 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
