Gary Wayne Reeves

Gary Wayne Reeves, 77, of Bessemer City, passed away August 2, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born May 11, 1946, in Knox County, Tennessee, son of the late Milton Fred Reeves and Illa Smith Reeves.

Gary was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He always put his family's needs first and foremost.

He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved watching his team play.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pressley.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday, August 4, 2023, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens, in Bessemer City.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Grohman Reeves; son, Mike Reeves (Angel); daughter, Kristie Ammons; sisters, Brenda White, Jackie Bowlin; grandchildren, Hailey Reeves, Roger Reeves, Dalton Reeves, Nick Reeves; great-grandchildren, Aayden Hill, Caleb Hill, Liam Reeves, Briana Medrano.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Reeves, Curtis Reeves, Ronnie Mack Reeves; granddaughter Heather Brown.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
