Gary Vernon Raymer

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary Vernon Raymer, who was born on March 21, 1950, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. He passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 76. Gary was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Marines. A dedicated mechanic known for his skill and unwavering commitment to his craft, Gary spent many years working at the Chevrolet dealership, a career that brought him both joy and pride.

Gary was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Carol Raymer, of 30 years. Their bond was a testament to love and partnership, and together they built a life filled with family and faith. Gary's love for his family was matched only by his love for God, which guided him throughout his life. In addition to his wife, Gary will be remembered by his children, Nickie Hayes (Crystal), Lewis Quinn (Kamie), and Sherri Jones (Travis); grandchildren, Savannah Gregory (Daniel), Nickolas Hayes, Melissa Quinn, Allen Quinn, William Wyatt Jr, and Kaylee Wyatt; great grandchildren, Pearl Gregory and Henry Gregory; siblings, Judy Hudson (Alvin) and Terry Raymer.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Raymer; brothers, Jimmy Raymer and Danny Raymer.

In honor of Gary's wishes, all services will be private. Those who knew and loved him are invited to remember him in their own special way.

Gary Vernon Raymer will always be remembered for his loving nature and the unwavering strength of his character. May he rest in peace.
