Gale Paisley Mcmorris

Gale Paisley McMorris, 87, of Gastonia, passed away December 6, 2023, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.

She was born June 30, 1936, in Campbell County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Harold Paisley and Captola Hopper Paisley.

She was a faithful member of the Pisgah ARP Church in Gastonia and was a member of the Pisgah Community Club, where she enjoyed going on local outings.  She helped teach Sunday School. She also was a member of the Panhandlers group which met for midweek service.

She never met a stranger, was very passionate about God, her Church Family, children, Country, and Chocolate especially Seroogy's in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She enjoyed ice cream with Handles in Gastonia being her favorite as she was hoping to try every flavor on their board.

Gale was a nurse for 50 years which she enjoyed sharing wonderful stories of her work experiences.

As Gale had no children of her own her love was given to her two border collies, Rebel and Lassie.

She enjoyed several hobbies reading, gardening, flying model airplanes, and watching old movies, especially with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara starring in them. She was a licensed pilot with a love of being up in the clouds alone.

She was one of a kind, that loved life, loved to argue, loved coffee, loved people and was an unforgettable lady, especially if you had the pleasure of meeting her.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Conrad McMorris.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Pisgah ARP Church, officiated by Pastor Rick Lewis.

The Burial will be in the church cemetery.
