Gail Ledford

Gastonia, NC Gail Ledford, passed away January 19, 2013 at her home, under the care of her loving husband and her granddaughter, Heather. She was born in Gastonia, daughter of Edith Stacy Bingham and the late, Richard Barnes. Gail was a loving, caring wife and mother, who always put others before herself. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Gastonia. Gail loved the outdoors, was an avid motorcyclist and attended many dirt track races with her husband, family and friends. She was a Registered Nurse for Carolinas Medical Center for over 25 years. A memorial service will be held 6:30 pm on Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Randy Sawyer. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment is private. In addition to her mother, she is survived by: her husband and best friends for 26 years, Ricky Ledford of the home; sons and daughters in-law, William and Wendy Barnes, Dennis and Melissa Barnes, all of Gastonia; daughters and sons in-law, Sherry and Keith Gaston, Lynn and Nathan Hamm all of Gastonia; brothers, Ronald Bingham of Gastonia, Gary Bingham of Blacksburg, SC; sisters, Audrey Clark of Dallas, Marilyn Hulsey of Lincolnton, Sharon Turner of Dallas; grandchildren, Tasha, Heather, Shane, Brandie, Zach, Mikayla, Kelli, Emily, Nate and Taylor; great grandchildren, Kyliegh, Skie and Gage; special nephews, Scott and Josh; her dogs, Andy and Harley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
