Gail King Lane

It is with both sorrow and joyful reflection that we announce the passing of Gail King Lane on May 14, 2026, at the age of 77. Gail, a pioneering spirit in the world of computer science, devoted her life to both her profession and her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and adventure.

Gail's enthusiasm for life was infectious. She found great joy in camping, nurturing animals, and creating treasured memories with her family. Her heart was a haven for those she loved, including her beloved husband Ron Lane, with whom she celebrated over 39 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and shared adventures.

Gail is preceded in death by her cherished parents, John King and Mickey Moore, as well as her dear brother Robin King, sister Cippy Stafford, and her beloved grandson Little Chad Lyles. Despite this loss, her spirit lives on through her family. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Brad (Gena) and Chad Lyles, as well as her treasured grandchildren: Ariel Lowery (Lucas), Seth Lyles (Sarah), and Faith Gallaher (Matt). Gail's legacy will continue with her great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Deklin, Eilee, and Kensleigh Gallaher, who she adored.

To honor and celebrate Gail's remarkable life, a visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM at Green Funeral Service South Chapel in Gastonia, NC. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Gail are invited to join us in remembering a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
