Gail Heffner Brafford

December 21, 1949 — July 14, 2016

Gail Heffner Brafford, 66, of Gastonia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at her home.

She was born December 21, 1949, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Paul Heffner Sr. and Amy Price Heffner.

Gail was a caregiver to many including her family and in-laws. She was a second mother to her many nieces and nephews and many other young people involved with the youth ministry. She was a lifelong member of the church of God and attended Lowell Church of God. Gail was a ladies ministry leader, Sunday school teacher, and assisted her husband with the youth ministry. Gail was a very devoted and giving Christian. She was employed in the accounting field with Dallas Electric and Hoke Electric.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Julie Heffner.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of over 48 years, Joe Brafford of the home and siblings, Paul Heffner Jr. and wife, Cathy of Oak Island, Loretta Heffner Trammell and husband, Thurman of Dallas, Billy Heffner and wife Dianne of Gastonia, and Joe Heffner and wife, Tammie of Gastonia.

A funeral service will be held 3pm on Sunday, at Lowell Church of God, 804 West First St. Lowell.  Pastors Joe Heffner, Andy Nicholson, and Wade Easom will be officiating.

The family will receive friends 1-2:45pm before the service at the church.

Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
