Freida Carpenter Marr

Freida Carpenter Marr, 66, of Kings Mountain, passed away February 10, 2024, at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital in Shelby.

She was born July 30, 1957, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Billy Vance Carpenter and Martha Wright Carpenter.

Frieda was a member of South Gastonia Church of God in Gastonia.

All services will be private.

Freida is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ricky Leland Marr.; sons, Ricky Marr (Lisa), Shannon Marr (Michelle); daughters, Amy Blair (Eric), Jennifer Marr; brothers, Mark Carpenter (Dana), Gary Carpenter; grandchildren, Brittney Long (Michael), Kameron Marr, Baylee Marr, Ashlynn Marr, Brayden Blair, Caleb Marr, Kayleigh Marr, Allie Green; great-grandchildren, Carli Long, Zayne Salvator; and an abundance of extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Freida was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Carpenter; sister, Rhonda Carpenter.
