Fred Carl Quinn Jr., 77, of Clover SC, passed away August 3, 2022, at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital in Shelby.
He was born October 19, 1944, in Gaston County, to the late Fred Carl Quinn Sr. and Margaret Robinson.
Fred graduated from Frank L. Ashley High School and spent most of his working career in the textile industry in Gaston County. He was an avid sports fan, ancient history and Alamo buff, enjoyed creative writing, reading and watching science fiction.
Fred is survived by his son, Ashley Quinn; daughter, Leslie Teague; sisters, Anne White and Freida Hamilton; grandson, Cole Teague; great-granddaughter, Thea Teague; nieces, Karen Stensgard and Monica Nolan; nephew, Brian Grayson.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lacey Teague.
A gathering of friends and family will be held 6-8 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia.
A private Inurnment service will be held at Westview Gardens Cemetery, Bessemer City, NC.
