Fred "Mike" Hope

Fred "Mike" Michael Hope, 63, of Lowell, NC, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born February 21, 1959, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of Nelson Hope and the late Selma Seay Hope.

Mike was employed with Carolina Alarm Company, which was owned by the Hope family. He loved to fish and watching NASCAR Racing. Mike was an avid Carolina Tarheel fan.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Hope; and brother, Paul Hope.

Mike is survived by his son, Josh Hope and fiancé Courtney; daughter, Brandi Hope; brother, Chris Hope; sister, Cindy Strudwick; and grandson, Noah Hope.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Ronnie Pendleton and Rev. Nelson Hope, will be held 2pm, Friday, January 20, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends once hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont.
