Fred Eugene Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fred Eugene Brown, who was born on March 28, 1986, in Gaston County, North Carolina. A beloved brother, uncle, and friend, Fred's vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He departed this world, surrounded by love, leaving behind a family that will cherish his memory forever.

Fred, a resident of Browns Summit, NC, graduated high school and worked diligently as a waiter's assistant in many different restaurants. His passion for life was contagious, and he brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. Fred was known for his incredible love of music, with a special fondness for the Backstreet Boys, and his energy truly shined when he got up to dance. He found joy in simple pleasures-coloring, sharing meals at Logan's and McDonald's, and cherished moments spent with his family.

Fred is survived by his siblings, Debbie Phillips (Ronnie), Tony Brown (Barbara), Ellen Dills (Roger), Deborah Summerlin, and Joe Reed (Lavonne); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His family will forever hold onto the joyful memories they created together, the laughter they shared, and the love that was so present in their times together.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Jr and Patricia Brown; siblings, Tracy Reed and Lynn Gantt.

Join us in celebrating Fred's life during the funeral services that will be held at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Friday, May 15, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, conducted by Pastor Johnny Yarboro. Fred will be laid to rest at Gaston Memorial Park, to be reunited with his parents.

As we gather to honor Fred, let us remember his bright spirit, his unwavering love for family, and the many ways he brought happiness into our lives. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in our hearts.
