Fred Dixon

Fred Grier Dixon, 90, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at The Citadel at Myers Park, Charlotte, NC.

He was born August 22, 1931, in Mecklenburg Co, NC.

Fred was an US Navy Vet, serving during the Korean War. He played baseball with the Navy on the USS Shenandoah Baseball Team, earning the nickname of "Fast Ball".

He is preceded in death by his 4 brothers; and 1 sister.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Marie Dixon; daughter, Sheree Fore (Ronnie); grandchildren, Cameron Fore (Shana), and Eric Fore; great-grandchild, Ethan Fore; niece, Tina Wilson; and nephews, Randy Dixon, Jerry Pettus, and Jim Pettus.
