Fred Crawford

Gastonia, NC Fred Crawford, 94, Gastonia, passed away October 3, 2012, at his home. He was born April 17, 1918 in Isabella, TN, son of the late Ross and Iowa Ledford Crawford. Fred was drafted and served in the US Navy during WWII. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Mike Criswell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. He is survived by: his children, Harold Crawford and his wife, Jan of Round Lake, IL, Fred Crawford and wife Judy of Gershan, SC, Jack Crawford and wife, Teresa of Southern Shores, NC, Linda Dockery and husband, Bert of Gastonia, Rhonda Crawford of Kings Mountain, Phyllis Moss and husband, Mike of Gastonia; 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: daughter, Starlene Dellinger; son, Hal "Pete" Crawford; brothers and sister. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O.
