Franklin Charles "Hank" Martin

Franklin Charles "Hank" Martin, 84, of Dallas, NC, passed away, Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Angel Medical Center, Franklin, NC.

He was born May 29, 1936 in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Cossey Morton and Naomi Manning Morton.

Hank attended Dallas Church of God. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp and loved his family and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Franklin Martin, Jr. and Randall Martin; daughter, Caroline Martin; sisters, Margaret Cudd, Pearline Faulkner and Myrtle Sutton; and brothers, Junior Morton and Bobby Morton.

Hank is survived by his loving wife, Dot Johnson Martin; daughters, Trisha Sites (Fred), Charlene Martin, Sherry Martin, Pamela Drum (Kevin) and Crystal Cochran (Pastor Phillip) ;sisters, Hazeline Moore, Shirley Gillelan, Alice Lane, Dorothy Johns, Betty Hooper, Ruth Walker; grandchildren, Lewis Martin, Jamie Martin, James Dean, Scott Martin, Amanda Schatz, Gracie Cochran and Elijah Cochran; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service officiated by Pastors Danny Shortridge and Phillip Cochran will be held 2pm on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Dallas Church of God - 311 S College St, Dallas, NC 28034.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held at Hollywood Cemetery.
