Franklin James Butler

Franklin James Butler, 79, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Cardinal Health Care in Lincolnton.

He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 11, 1944, to the late James and Julie Butler.

Franklin was a member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. He enjoyed boating and listening to Jimmy Buffet. Franklin loved his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Anne Butler; brother, Robert Butler.

Franklin is survived by his son, Shawn Butler (Tammy); daughters, Kelly Butler-Lligui, Colleen Bledsoe (Daniel); brother, James Butler (Carol); sister, Cheryl Butler; grandchildren, Matt Lligui, Patrick Lligui, Christopher Garay, Abagail Butler, Erinne Butler, Eustacia Smith, Amber Penland, Thomas Brooks; great-grandchildren, Liliana and Ezra.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Charles Keller, will be held at Fraley Memorial Baptist Church, 3025 Fraley Church Road, Gastonia, NC, 28054, on Saturday, April 13. 2024, 1:00 PM.
