Frank Berkley

Frank Berkley, 76, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Polk County, Iowa, on September 7, 1947, to the late Joseph and Katherine Berkley.

He was a Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, friend, auctioneer, businessman, member of the Air Force, but the thing he was most proud of - He was a servant of God!

Frank Berkley was the Chairman of Deacons at Faith Baptist Church in Gastonia. He was a member there for more than 50 years. He was the backbone of the church. He was always willing to do anything that needed to be done.

He was a true friend and willing to help when anyone needed it. He donated to almost every children's toy and school drive.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Barnett Berkley.

Frank is survived by his son, Kevin Berkley (Sarah); daughter, Karyn Coker (Tim); nine grandchildren, Julie Ellis, Amanda Still, Allen Coker, Christopher Still, Lydia Catlin, Garrett Berkley, Ethan Berkley, Adam Barnett, Morgan Bennett; seven great-grandchildren, Wyatt Ellis, Gracie Ellis, Joshua Coker, Madison Wathen, Jeza Still, Aiden Coker, Krew Catlin; special friend, Dee Sensing.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Robin Harris, will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, 1:00 PM, at Faith Baptist Church, 1102 W. Walnut Ave., Gastonia, NC 28052. The burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052.
