Naomi Guyton Jones 77, of Dallas, NC. passed away at home Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was born November 14, 1938 in Cleveland County, to the late Russell and Duffie Shelton Guyton.
Naomi was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Iron Station. She was a faithful servant to the Lord and enjoyed serving in her church in many capacities. Naomi sang in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher, nursery director and was loved by all as the candy lady for over twenty years. She impacted many generations of lives.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, William Thomas "Bill" Jones, Sr. of the home; daughter, Annette Beck (Lawrence) of Ranlo, Trena Aldridge (Bobby) of Iron Station; son, William Thomas "Billy" Jones, Jr. (Allison) of Gastonia; grandchildren, Tommy, Jonathan, Adam, Jordan, Austin, Maddie; great grandchildren, Gracie, Andrew, Peyton; brother, Dewitt Guyton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents Naomi is preceded in death by her sister, Pansy Bell; brother, Jim Guyton.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday at Greene Funeral Service – 1503 South York Road, Gastonia. Officiated by Pastor Randall Wright.
Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, and other times at the home of her son, 5825 Union Road, Gastonia, N.C. 28056.
Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, N.C.
