Frances Howell

July 25, 1942 — February 27, 2021

Frances Kirby Howell, 78, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born on July 25, 1942, in Franklin, NC, to the late Calvin Partee Kirby, and Opal Elzora Dickers Kirby.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by daughter, Frances Denise Langford; sisters, Shelby Millwood, and Nancy Whitley; brother, Jerry Kirby; grandson, Thomas Troy Hannah.

Left to cherish Mrs. Howell's memories are her son, Bobbie Lee Lewis; daughters, Lisa White and husband Johnny Martin, and Juanita Lewis; sisters, Sheila Kirby, Patsy Hodges, Ann Long, and Edith Kirby; grandchildren, Brandon Worthy, Bobbie Kay Green, Charlie Wray McCoy, Michael Scott Hannah, Jeremy Allen Lewis, Jack Leroy Self, Christopher Alexander Lewis, and Alicia Dawn Whittle; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Frances, officiated by Pastor Ted Cole III, will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Internment to follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
